I completed my master's degree in Zoology at the University of Lucknow and joined Dr. Arpan Parichha’s lab at CSIR-IGIB in January 2024 as his first student. My scientific interests lie in exploring the molecular complexities of brain development and related diseases. Currently, I am working on a project titled “Effect of Maternal High-Fat Diet on Fetal Hippocampus Development” using a mouse model. But my life isn’t limited to the lab! I also serve as the President of the AcSIR-IGIB Science Club and the Vice-Captain of the IGIB-A cricket team, bringing energy and passion to both science and the field. Whether I’m cooking something delicious, smashing sixes on the pitch, or exploring new destinations, I always make time for the things that fuel my passion outside the lab.

I did my master’s from University of Hyderabad where I found my intrigue being piqued by Stem cell therapy regulated by epigenetic controlling. I developed a desire to learn iPSC and organoid culture. With my current curiosity driven by the sheer diversity and complexity of the brain, I am eager to decipher the intricate world of neurodevelopmental disorders, aiming to help alleviate those suffering from them. Beyond the bench, I find solace and joy in creative pursuits. Singing and painting allow me to express myself and find balance amidst the demands of research. I cherish spending time with friends, fostering meaningful connections that enrich my life.

I completed my Master’s in Molecular and Human Genetics from BHU, Varanasi. During my master's, I became fascinated by omics techniques, particularly single-cell transcriptomics and proteomics. I aspire to uncover how the proteomic landscape changes in neurodevelopmental disorders, exploring the intricate processes that shape our nervous system. Outside the lab, I enjoy traveling, reading, and listening to music, which provide inspiration and balance to my scientific pursuits.
Project Assistant
I hold a Master’s in Biochemistry from Jamia Millia Islamia, where I gained strong training in molecular biology and protein biochemistry through coursework and dissertation, including protein purification and enzymatic assays. My curiosity has shifted toward neuroscience, particularly how molecular pathways govern brain development and contribute to neurodevelopmental disorders. I aim to explore these mechanisms using advanced models, bridging basic biology with translational research for neurological disorders. Beyond science, I find comfort and creativity in arts, crafts, and reading, which broaden my perspective and inspire both scientific and personal growth.
